Select Genetics is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to play a key role in supporting our farm operations in Strawn, IL (and occasionally Indiana). In this hands-on position, you'll partner closely with managers and the HR team to deliver full-spectrum HR support — from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, payroll, benefits, and safety initiatives.

This is a part-time, benefit-eligible position (approximately 30 hours per week) with the potential to grow into full-time. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Job Description

This Human Resources Coordinator provides comprehensive HR services for the farms in Strawn, IL and supports the Indiana location as needed. The role reports to the Human Resource Manager and serves as a brand ambassador for the company's culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruitment & Staffing – identify talent needs, create job specifications, source candidates, conduct interviews, make referrals, facilitate offers, and complete new employee recordkeeping.
• Employee Relations – train managers on policies, sustain strong work relationships, foster engagement, handle disciplinary actions, and conduct exit interviews.
• Compensation & Payroll – ensure timely pay increases, performance reviews, payroll audits, and payroll processing.
• Benefit Administration – administer annual benefit enrollment, assist with new hire enrollment, and answer benefit-related questions.
• Training & Development – coordinate required statutory trainings (harassment, right-to-know, etc.) and other development programs.
• Safety & Loss Control – oversee injury investigations, workers' compensation processes, and safety training.
• Administrative Support – code and send invoices, organize flu clinics and events, order supplies, and maintain employee records.
