Job Overview :
We are seeking a Floating Maintenance Technician to join our Washington team! In this unique role, you will primarily be based at one assigned property while remaining flexible and available to travel to other Neiders communities throughout Washington when coverage or support is needed.
This position is ideal for a dependable, well-rounded maintenance professional who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in problem-solving, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality maintenance results.
Essential Functions : (include but are not limited to)
1. Accountability :
- Take ownership of assigned maintenance tasks and ensure they are completed promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
- Adhere to maintenance schedules and prioritize work orders based on urgency and resident needs.
- Be flexible and willing to travel to various Neiders Company properties in Washington when business needs arise.
2 . Legendary Customer Service :
Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to residents and team members.Respond promptly to maintenance requests and follow up to ensure resident satisfaction.Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude when interacting with residents, colleagues, and vendors.3 . Maintenance and Repairs :
Perform a wide range of maintenance and repair duties including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections to identify potential issues before they become problems.Assist with larger projects or turnovers as assigned and coordinate with contractors when needed.4. Property Upkeep :
Support property teams by maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of buildings, common areas, and amenities.Identify and report safety hazards, code violations, or maintenance concerns promptly.Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and in compliance with company standards.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade certifications preferred.Minimum 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily housing, hospitality, or a similar field.Solid technical and troubleshooting skills across multiple trades.Strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different properties and team environments.Willingness and ability to travel between properties across Washington as business needs require.Availability for after-hours, weekend, or on-call work as needed.Benefits and Perks :
