Our client is a leading hospital system in Houston, TX. They are seeking a skilled Medical Collector with strong hospital collections experience to cover a short-term need. This is a contract role with a hybrid schedule, making it an excellent opportunity to work with one of the largest healthcare systems in Texas.

Job Description :

The Medical Collector will be responsible for managing high-dollar hospital claims, focusing primarily on Blue Cross Blue Shield accounts. This role requires advanced collections expertise, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage hospital accounts receivable, focusing on high-dollar claims ($25k to $1M+)
• Work directly on Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) collections
• Utilize EPIC to track and resolve outstanding balances
• Accurately document account activity and maintain up-to-date records
• Collaborate with leadership and communicate effectively with payers
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations
Qualifications :
• Required :

3+ years of hospital collections experience

Strong Excel and computer skills
