Seeking an experienced Full Time Hematology Medical Technologist to join our busy Pediatric Hematology / Oncology practice. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
Hematology Technologist Florida state license eligibility required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform Automated Hematology, manual differentials, manual platelet count and prepare manual Retic count.
 - Performs and documents daily / weekly monthly quality control including instrument maintenance.
 - Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
 - Prepare tests and evaluate new reagents or controls.
 - Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
 - Perform and document preventing maintenance and quality control procedures.
 - Identify and replenish testing bench supplies, as necessary.
 - Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
 - Sample preparation for send out to reference laboratories.
 - Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
 
QUALIFICATIONS :
Hematology Technologist Florida state license eligibility required.Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
