  • Job Summary
  • We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting patients with mental health challenges, providing care, and assisting in their treatment plans. This position requires a strong understanding of various therapeutic techniques and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. The Mental Health Technician will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  • Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, couples, and / or family therapy using evidence-based practices.
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans with measurable goals tailored to client needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and agency standards.
  • Assess and manage risk (suicidality, homicidality, abuse, neglect, crisis situations).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, psychiatrists, case managers, and schools.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and families regarding diagnoses, coping skills, and resources.
  • Ensure ethical standards and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
  • Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and clinical trainings.
  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education requirements for licensure.
  • Experience
  • Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas :
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-focused, solution-focused).
  • Motivational interviewing skills
  • Child & family counseling experience is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical records.
  • Crisis management skills to handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an openness to feedback.
