Join the growing BILH team, making a difference in people's lives. This is a full-time position with day shifts, Monday to Saturday, with a call rotation. The role involves providing patient care and technological expertise during endoscopic procedures under the direction of physicians and other licensed department staff.
Duties / Responsibilities include :
- Preparing the procedure area with all diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy supplies and equipment.
- Assessing the condition of all equipment and ensuring the procedure area is safe.
- Accurately documenting patient and procedure information.
- Following department policy relating to collection, identification, and documentation of patient specimens.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring patient privacy and respect.
- Assisting with the transport and preparation of the patient before and after the procedure.
- Assisting with stocking and purchasing recommendations and inspecting sterile supplies.
- Following aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
- Maintaining daily documentation and processing records for cleaning and high-level disinfection of endoscopes.
- Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) during patient procedures and when processing endoscopes.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Education / Experience Required :
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) responsibilities and knowledge.Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and retain information.Knowledge of infection control, cleaning, and disinfection protocols.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift, carry, and push heavy objects.Demonstrated understanding of and practice proper body mechanics.Ability to transport patients safely.Proven communication etiquette, excellent customer service experience, and positive attitude.Registration / Certification :
Current Certified Nursing Assistant License, Current EMT License, or Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant Program.SGNA program completion & certification preferred, or completion within 6 months.Central Sterilization / Processing Technician certification preferred.BLS certification required.Physical / Environmental Requirements include frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, and walking. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 100 lbs, and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight, and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use. Constant concentration and problem solving.
