Position : Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Schedule : Full-Time (Days)

Location : Roanoke, VA

Mon-Friday DAYS, No Call , No Nights, No Weekends

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary Pulmonary Medicine team. This provider will deliver advanced clinical care to patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions in both inpatient and / or outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments, histories, and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and respiratory failure.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, PFTs, sleep studies).
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans.
• Manage ventilator-dependent and high-acuity respiratory patients as applicable.
• Collaborate closely with Pulmonologists, Respiratory Therapists, RNs, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide patient and family education regarding disease processes, medications, and care plans.
• Participate in care coordination, follow-up visits, and transitions of care.
• Document all patient encounters and interventions in the EHR accurately and timely.
