QUALIFICATIONS :

Education - Minimum of an Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy

License - Current Texas license in good standing

Experience - Preferred - Minimum of one (1) year's experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES :

Provides therapeutic treatments as planned, delegated and supervised by the Licensed Therapist.

Prepares clinical and progress notes per agency policies and Board standards

Guides the patient in the use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activities for purpose of improving functions

Advises, teaches and consults with the family and other agency personnel, as applicable

Observes, record, and reports to the therapist, the patients reaction to treatment and changes in the patients condition

Participates in discharge planning in conjunction with the therapist and family

Participates in Agency and Community In-service programs
