Description : RESPONSIBLE FOR :
Maintains recommended standards for set
assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and
sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies
and equipment. Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to
provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an
accurate and timely manner. Assists in maintaining consistent and
continuous workflow, providing superior customer service.
Qualifications : MINIMUM EDUCATION
REQUIRED :
High School graduate or GED.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED :
Certification as a Central Sterile
Tech, Surgical Technologist, or 3 years of Central Sterile
experience required.
MINIMUM
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY
LAW : None.
ADDITIONAL
QUALIFICATIONS :
Central Service Processing
Technician Certification, OR Surgical Tech Certification
preferred.
