Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a CA license and strong float flexibility for night shifts across multiple campuses.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Emergency Department within a hospital setting
  • Position is a true float RN role, with assignments at multiple campuses approximately 15 minutes apart
  • Shifts are 3x12 nights from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM, with weekend rotation and on-call required
  • Traveler may be scheduled at a different campus for each shift and will be notified of their location 2 hours before start time
  • Shuttle service is provided for transportation between campuses
  • Emergency patient population with a broad range of cases
  • Epic EMR experience is preferred
  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, serving as a patient advocate and coordinating care
  • Orientation includes non-billable online modules, averaging 1-5 hours depending on specialty
  • Only one holiday requested off will be approved during the contract
  • Return staff must have a one-year gap before returning as a traveler
  • Local candidates are accepted at the local pay rate

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
  • Experience in a float or multi-site setting preferred
  • Must be able to complete modules via e-learning during orientation
  • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility for travel rate eligibility
  • Must not have worked at the facility within the past 12 months to be eligible as a traveler
