Benefit And Performance Auditor
The Benefit and Performance Auditor is responsible for conducting audits and reviews related to benefit administration, contract compliance, and performance standards to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to internal controls and corporate policies. The position supports organizational accountability through identifying process gaps, recommending improvements, and preparing formal audit reports in alignment with the Internal Audit Plan and regulatory expectations. This position is eligible to work remotely, hybrid or onsite in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy. Applicants must reside in Kansas or Missouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment.

Compensation : $30.96 - $38.70 Non exempt grade 14

What you'll do :
Conduct benefit and performance audits to evaluate compliance with contracts, policies, and regulatory requirements.Analyze operational processes to identify internal control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.Prepare accurate and detailed audit work papers, findings, and reports.Present audit findings and recommendations to department leadership and other internal stakeholders.Support external audits and regulatory reviews by providing requested documentation and insight.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of benefit programs, audit practices, and system functionality.Provide training, direction, and support to less experienced auditors.Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive data.Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve audit conditions.Assist in the development and improvement of audit methodologies and procedures.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detailKnowledge of benefit administration and contract performance standardsAbility to independently manage multiple audits and changing prioritiesProficient in using audit-related software and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to interpret and apply corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelinesDemonstrated problem-solving abilities with a focus on root cause analysisStrong organizational and documentation skillsWhat you need :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum of 5 years' experience in insurance customer service, claims, membership or related audit experience required.Experience with benefit performance auditing or related health insurance functions preferred.Physical Requirements :
Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time.Minimal travel may be required for audit purposes.Ability to meet strict deadlines and adapt to changing audit schedules.Benefits & Perks :
