About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - ICU Stepdown

Profession : Registered Nurse (RN)

Specialty : Neuro / Stroke / Neurosurgery

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience in a major acute care hospital setting with a strong background in Med-Surg / Tele.

License : NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

Certifications :

ACLS-AHA

NIHSS

BLS-AHA

CEU Contact Stroke (4 Hours)

Telemetry

Must-Have : Neuro / Stroke / Neurosurgery experience required.

Description :

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.

Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs.

Identifies patient needs and prioritizes care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care for assigned patients through ongoing assessments.

Initiates assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.

Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.

Manages care of patients.

Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.

Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.

Provides patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Floats to units within competency as required.

Weekend and holiday availability required as needed.

No on-call requirement.

Float requirements may apply as necessary to similar units.
