This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified
applicant to deliver full-scope office, inpatient, and surgical
Obstetrics and Gynecologic comprehensive service within a network
of educators and clinical specialists known for delivering
excellence in patient care and education. Clinical faculty position
as a full scope General OBGYN for services at NYP-Westchester
Hospital division is an essential, patient-facing role. The
Qualified applicant will provide both outpatient and inpatient
OBGYN care for patients from local practices including NYPMG
Westchester and Columbia University Faculty Practices. Clinical
scope includes, but is not limited to : preventative care,
ambulatory obstetrics, ambulatory gynecology, office surgery and
procedures, Labor & Delivery, obstetrical procedures, triage,
postpartum, GYN Consultations, and emergency GYN procedures.
Reports to Division Chief for General OBGYN in Westchester. An
academic title will be determined by the candidate’s
qualifications. The Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OBGYN) : Responsible
for delivering the highest level of patient care when covering in
Labor and Delivery at NYPW Hospital or in the outpatient
practice(s). Facilitates the integration among the
multidisciplinary team for provision of optimal patient care. Works
in conjunction with NYPW leadership and clinical staff to optimize
teamwork and collaboration. Works collaboratively with OBGYN
physicians and advanced practice teams to adopt quality
initiatives, evidence-based best practices, and adopt clinical
guidelines for standardization of practice. Provides effective and
responsive leadership for OBGYN service coordination, including
clinical decision support for obstetric emergencies throughout the
hospital and practice(s). Participates in multidisciplinary
simulation training sessions. Ensures that the evidenced-based
standards of emergency room triage and surgical care are being met.
Effectively confers with Maternal-Fetal and Neonatology services
for patients with high-acuity needs. You will participate in
providing OBGYN coverage including in-house calls as well as
outpatient care in the Westchester practice(s). New York State
Medical License Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology Commitment
to Columbia University Irving Medical Center and the communities we
serve. Desire to participate in a community-based healthcare.
