As a Security Professional - Chemical Site - Access Control in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more. As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role includes interacting with visitors and staff, checking credentials, and delivering excellent customer service while supporting a secure environment. This is a driving post, so you will need a valid drivers license in the job state. Pay Rate : $14.79 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Wed 11 : 30 AM - 05 : 30 PM

Thur 05 : 30 AM - 05 : 30 PM

Fri 05 : 30 AM - 05 : 30 PM

Sat 05 : 30 AM - 05 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Support access control procedures at a chemical or petrochemical location by monitoring entry and exit points for authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting individuals accessing the location in accordance with site-specific guidelines.
  • Follow security-related procedures and policies to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and its perimeter to observe for unusual activity, compliance with site protocols, and potential security-related issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and access control logs as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Collaborate with team members and site representatives to support security-related operations and maintain open communication.

  • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
