Overview
Fairchild Equipment is hiring a Tire Technician. This full-time position based out of Bloomington, MN, services Fairchild customers in the Minnesota market. The role requires travel to customer sites, dismounting and mounting tires on various equipment, and maintaining service quality with a company-owned vehicle. A valid and in-good-standing driver's license is required. The workweek is 40 hours with flex scheduling to prioritize customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily and weekly work schedules based on priority work orders, while keeping customers as a priority.
- Open and close all work orders, ensuring accuracy of labor, parts, and pricing; monitor from start to finish and address any quote overruns before invoicing.
- Maintain inventory for the tire warehouse and mobile tire press truck.
- Operate a mobile tire truck in compliance with DOT regulations; travel to customer sites to install tires.
- Follow safety protocols when removing, rolling, and positioning tires; operate tire press to assemble tires and hubs.
- Dismount and mount tires, remove lugs / fasteners, and manage tire assemblies.
- Assist with customer service and ensure compliance with vendor policies and warranty procedures.
- Assist with loading and unloading tires and communicate with customers regarding service timing and completion.
- Complete paperwork, verify information, and obtain customer signatures when work is finished.
- Maintain records of inventory for warehouse and mobile truck; manage purchase orders for individual jobs.
- Monitor scheduled maintenance intervals and arrange for truck maintenance as needed.
- Clean and maintain service equipment, the mobile truck, and the warehouse.
- Participate in job-related training and support safety programs; assist with shop and field repairs during light workload periods as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities
Class B CDL is required with current FEDMED.Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.Ability to work in a high-paced environment.Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.Basic knowledge of computer and internet software.Class B CDL is required.Employee Benefits Include
