The UC Irvine Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (CFCCC) is a campus-wide multidisciplinary matrix organization whose goal is to promote and enhance cancer-relevant research and patient care at UC Irvine. The CFCCC provides research resources to its 250+ faculty and clinician members and offers multidisciplinary cancer care to its patients.
Your Role on the Team
Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced digital communications professional to produce design and layout for a variety of non-routine and moderately complex web site applications; ensure search engine optimization; and develop social media platforms. Demonstrates a full understanding of industry practices and organization policies and procedures. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
This role requires a dynamic and innovative individual with a passion for storytelling, relationship building, and leveraging diverse digital communication channels to inspire action and provide support.
The Digital Communications Coordinator reports to the Manager for Communications & Branded Content and supports a portfolio of communications activities at the UC Irvine Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (CFCCC) that advances CFCCC's strategies and brand identity. This includes :

The Digital Communications Coordinator ensures timely execution of communications activities and serves as the key coordinating liaison for Communications efforts across the CFCCC Clinical Trials Office, the three Research Programs (250+ faculty and clinician members), the eight Shared Resources, and Cross-cutting Initiatives - Community Outreach and Engagement, and Cancer Research Training and Education. These are mandatory components of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) P30 Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) and are vital to NCI's continued designation to the CFCCC. The NCI designation has a vital reputational and financial impact for CFCCC, UCI and UCI Health. Adherence to the guidelines of the CCSG is mandatory and involves ongoing monitoring of the organization for structure, direction, and fiscal management. All decisions at the CFCCC are taken within the context of the CCSG requirements.
On-site presence is required; however, hybrid flexibility may be offered upon review and approval. Please note that this is not guaranteed.
