Job Title : Retail Security Officer

Department : Retail Security

FLSA : Non-Exempt

Multiple positions available across our 8 state region. Hiring happens in each area and officers rotate between their local stores.

General Function :

Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by maintaining a safe and secure store environment for customers and employees. The retail security officer patrols and monitors premises, and, if needed, apprehending theft suspects in compliance with Hy-Vee's standards and guidelines.

Accountable and Reports to : Retail Security District Director; Regional Assistant Vice President

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics :

Education and Experience :

High School diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in law enforcement (with POST or equivalent certification), military service or corrections. Good standing from previous agencies. Valid drivers license required. Must be eligible or already permitted to carry a firearm.
