Job descriptionServe as the primary client contact for utility design questions and issue resolution Review and mentor junior staff in developing utility plan sets Manage municipal plan submissions and approvals Identify when additional field investigations are needed Colorado PE (or eligibility via reciprocity) preferred EIT certification required 2+ years of utility design experience Local project experience a plus Proficient with ground-penetrating radar, vacuum excavation, and other utility location equipment Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and / or MicroStation Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Salary : $90,000 $120,000 Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays Professional development opportunities, including seminars, conferences, and lunch-and-learns Personal Development Fund and wellness programs Employee assistance programs Job stability with SUE services mandated by Colorado law

Project Engineer Utility Design & SUE
REC is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team, supporting SUE investigations and utility design projects across Colorado. Youll manage projects from initial site assessment through municipal approvals, supervise junior staff, and coordinate with field teams and municipalities to ensure smooth project delivery.
