Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following other duties may be assigned)

Responsible for providing quantitative and strategic insight into business support functions of the Region. Analyzes application and understands implications of data regarding major maintenance and economic characteristics for use in commercial decision-making. Responsible for the CapEx / MM portion of the Regions 5 Year Plan. Responsible for Region-specific business programs as applicable including the royalty payment process calculations audits and supporting the Land department with Lessors. Serves as main contact point for corporate business functions with respect to Region activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Manages multiple Region business functions with a commercial / business focus.
• Manages the Regions CapEx / MM 5 Year Plan. Includes organizing meetings with departments to collect information facilitating discussions prioritizing projects and assembling the 5 Year Plan for presentation to management. Additional responsibilities include ensuring costs and MWh generation are consistent and preparing comparisons with historical spend and previous 5 Year Plans.
• Serves as main contact point for Calpine Corporate business support functions such as Insurance Property Tax Finance and Legal. Organizes efforts to collect Region information required by these corporate functions.
• Manages relationships with local parties that require business support interactions with Calpine. This includes Property Tax and may include interaction with business partners (such as water partners) and corporate led interactions (such as with lenders). Leading tours for these parties is part of this responsibility.
• Manages activities of broad functional area through first level management and professionals including full human resources cost and budgetary accountability.
• Decisions typically related to implementation of department strategy intradepartmental coordination and business outcomes.
• Results have significant impact on costs and achievement of department objectives.
• Identifies opportunities which make a significant difference to the performance of multiple Region functions and possibly organization-wide impact.
• Makes decisions for large-scale projects a closely related set of projects and / or initiatives involving multiple functional areas.
• Establishes business objectives for multiple functions including work plans and delegating assignments to subordinate managers and senior professionals.
• Works within broad guidelines; applies advanced knowledge of multiple functions to solve complex problems which may have long-term impact on the Region.
• Manages multiple functions within a department with responsibility for results in terms of costs methods and employees.
• Responsible for performance reviews promotional decisions and pay actions for top professionals and management.
