Overview

Lead Fusion Splicer II / Field Engineer III to support a hyperscale data center build-out in the Dallas Fort Worth region. The position is responsible for fiber-optic splicing, routing, testing, and documentation inside mission-critical data-center environments.

This is a hands-on field role , ideal for technicians experienced with large-scale fiber infrastructure who can execute clean, accurate splices and ensure optical performance meets enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fusion splicing (single & ribbon) on fiber cables within data centers and inter-building pathways
• Route, label, terminate, and manage fiber in trays, panels, and enclosures per customer standards
• Conduct Tier 1 and Tier 2 testing (insertion loss, OTDR, polarity)
• Maintain QA documentation and as-built records
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to meet delivery milestones
• Ensure all work follows EHS, labeling, and cleanliness standards
