Meaningful Work And Personal Impact As a Contracts Administrator Sr. Principal, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our State and Local Government customer. You will play a crucial role in administration, startup and support for a large and complex contract with a state government agency.
Responsibilities include :
- Provides domain expertise in contract management
- Administers contracts and monitors contract or subcontract performance
- Acts as focal point for all contractual communications and commitments to customers
- Maintains documentation and files in accordance with applicable processes
- Assures compliance with applicable federal regulations, state regulations, and internal policies and procedures
- Understands high-level technical requirements and solution approach
- Leads negotiation of operating level agreements with the state's suppliers across the IT enterprise
- Collaborates with program, customer, and other suppliers across the state's IT enterprise
- Reviews contract documents for accuracy, performance risk, and conformance with contract terms, conditions, and other provisions including applicable federal regulations and business team objectives prior to signature / acceptance
- Collaborates as a key member of program team to ensure contract requirements are fully understood and executed
- Responds to internal and external inquiries regarding contract issues, audits, and compliance requirements
- Manages contract change process and works with the Program Manager, Engineering, Finance, and other disciplines to mitigate performance risk
- Advises and supports business team on issues and developments relative to assigned contracts
- Monitors contract performance for scope changes and takes appropriate action
- Builds customer relationships and knows customer needs and issues
- Provides leadership, subject matter expertise, and innovative recommendations to new or unusual contracting, subcontracting, or programmatic issues
- Supports an overall understanding of the Contracts department operations and GDIT enterprise objectives

Education : Bachelors degreeExperience : 10+ years of related experienceTechnical skills : Microsoft Office SuiteRole requirements : Knowledge and experience with commercial and / or state procurement laws and principals. Ability to work on multiple actions simultaneously. Work on substantial and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Exercise substantial independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Demonstrates creative, innovative approaches and solutions to contract or subcontract issues and problems utilizing substantial decision-making skills. Possess substantial experience reviewing and analyzing contract documents for accuracy, performance risk, and conformance with contract terms, conditions, and other provisions. Demonstrate substantial verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels. Demonstrate attention to detail and organization. Is self-motivated and able to exercise prudent business judgment in matters of business importance. Collaborate and works effectively cross-functionally throughout the business.Location : This position requires working onsite in our GDIT facility in Falls Church, VA. The likely salary range for this position is $121,680 - $147,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
