Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Medical Biller. This role will report to our Director - Revenue Cycle and enable us to continue to scale in the healthcare industry.

What You'll Do

  • Verify patient eligibility with insurance as needed, maintain an open line of communication with all insurance carriers, including follow-up, denials, and appeals
  • Post, review, bill, and analyze superbills from providers to ensure accuracy in ICD / CPT codes, as per billing guidelines
  • Posting EOB payment batches and balancing payment report
  • Follow-up on all unpaid insurance claims and patient balances
  • Perform general clerical duties : data entry, file preparation, scanning, faxing, mailing patient statements, answering phone calls

    • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proficient in computer and electronic billing systems
  • Previous medical billing experience, specializing in primary care billing a plus

    • You're a great for this role if :

  • You have coding certificates, such as CCS, CPC, and CRC
  • Medical billing course certificate

    • Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Our organization follows a hybrid schedule, with in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and remote work on other days. The office is located at 1668 S. Garfield Ave. 2nd Floor, Alhambra, CA 91801.
  • The total compensation target pay rate for this role is : $20.00 - $22.00 / hr. The pay range represents our national target range for this role.
