Our service boasts a fleet of seven ambulances and one SUV, delivering critical pre-hospital 911 care across Marshall County and parts of Jasper and Grundy Counties. We also handle interfacility transports for several UnityPoint Health locations.

With over 7,000 calls / incidents each year, you'll face exciting and diverse challenges every day. Our trucks are equipped with cutting-edge technology, including the Stryker Power-load System, Zoll Cardiac Monitor, LUCAS CPR device, and Parapac ventilator. Responsibilities

Assesses the needs of patients and families, providing appropriate prehospital medical care.

Adapts and adjusts the patient's care plan according to the patient's needs in the prehospital setting.

Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient's care.

Carries out high quality patient care while following the scope of practice set out by the State of Iowa Public Health Department Bureau of EMS and this ambulance service.

Must be able to transport a behavioral health patient utilizing an ambulance or secure car.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.

Successful completion of EMS training from an approved training course.

Valid Iowa Chauffeur's License.

Current certification at EMT-PM level is required.

Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.

Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser.
