A growing and well-respected General Contractor in the DC–Baltimore region is seeking a Construction Assistant Project Manager to support project teams across multiple commercial projects. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow into a full Project Manager position and wanting hands-on experience with budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and project documentation.
You’ll work directly with Project Managers and Superintendents to help ensure projects run smoothly from kickoff through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
Support Project Managers with submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project documentationAssist with procurement , subcontract buyout, and maintaining trade relationshipsCoordinate with field teams on schedule updates and material deliveriesHelp track budgets, invoices, change orders, and cost reportingReview drawings, specs, and addenda to ensure accurate scopeAttend project meetings and maintain clear communication with owners, architects, and subcontractorsSupport punch list and closeout activitiesTroubleshoot field / administrative issues proactivelyRequirements
2+ years of construction experience (APM, PE, office engineer, or field engineer roles welcome)Experience with commercial interiors, ground-up, renovation, TI, or similar project typesStrong understanding of construction documents, submittals, and RFIsOrganizational skills with an ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlinesProficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office (or similar tools)Strong communication and problem-solving skillsBachelor’s in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience preferredWhy This Role Stands Out
