Job Summary :

This is a Tax Law Specialist position located in Property Tax Oversight (PTO) program's Compliance Assistance process. This position offers the opportunity for independent and challenging work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the programs need for a legislative bill analyst, reviewing property tax issues. As a Tax Law Specialist, you'll be part of the program's legislative processanalyzing, interpreting, and implementing impactful legislation. This role requires advanced analytical capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of statutory interpretation and administrative law.

Responsibilities Include :

• Develop bill analyses, technical amendments, fiscal impacts, and post legislative summaries.
• Analyze and summarize proposed legislation to determine its effectiveness and the impact of its passage on the state and county officials.
• Monitor and coordinate the legislative process with the PTO legislative coordinator and Department legislative staff.
• Collaborate with subject matter expert across PTO to evaluate and advise on legislative feasibility and policy alignment.
• Research and interpret laws, rules, case law, and agency guidance impacting Florida's property tax system.
• Must operate a computer to perform word processing and database management applications.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Salary : $59,000.04 annually
