JOB SUMMARY

The Safety Manager oversees and directs all policies of the safety program. They develop and administer programs that educate employees and ensure compliance with company protocol, all regulations issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other governing agencies. Maintain relationships with Clients, Leadership, Employees, and Subcontractors. Daily activities are conducted to promote the company's vision, mission, and core values.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Proven experience in a Safety Manager or Safety Coordinator role within commercial construction.
  • 5+ years of commercial construction safety experience, preferably with experience in Healthcare, K-12, and Higher Education construction projects.
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Safety Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification (required).
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction (required).
  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Participate in business development, marketing, and preconstruction efforts to address safety-related matters.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company safety policies, procedures, and manuals in alignment with OSHA and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training, safety meetings, and jobsite orientations for staff and subcontractors.
  • Routinely visit active project sites to ensure compliance, identify issues, and provide corrective direction.
  • Lead investigations of incidents and accidents, ensuring policies were followed and proper corrective actions were taken.
  • Track and manage reported incidents, claims, and penalties to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all regulations and distribute updates to project teams as needed.
  • Attend client, subcontractor, and internal safety meetings to promote a consistent safety culture.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to field superintendents and project teams.
  • Possess authority to stop unsafe work activities when conditions pose hazards to workers or the public.
  • Maintain required safety certifications and participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded through safe, organized, and high-quality project delivery.
  • Utilize computer and reporting systems effectively; maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, and accountability across all levels of the organization.
  • Provide clear direction, delegate tasks appropriately, and motivate team members to maintain safety standards.
  • Manage time efficiently, meet deadlines, and uphold dependability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
