As a Security Guard - Armed Industrial Site in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol the grounds of a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Pay Rate : $25.00 / Hour

Wed 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Thur 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Fri 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Sun 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.

Maintain a visible presence and help to deter potential incidents through regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate use of force in accordance with training and company policies, as this is an armed position.

Monitor entry and exit points to help control access and / or prevent unauthorized entry as required by site protocols.

Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and / or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal procedures and client requirements.

Collaborate with site personnel and / or emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.

Remain alert to the unique security-related risks present in a manufacturing and industrial location and follow established procedures to address them.

What We're Looking For :

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Possess an Armed Guard Card and / or License.

Possess a valid CPR certification is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
