Overview
JST is currently seeking a Cloud Administrator / Systems Administrator to support our team within a government environment. The Cloud Administrator / Systems Administrator provides critical IT support. This role is responsible for the management, maintenance, administration, security, and support of SaaS / PaaS (Platform as a Service) / IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) applications. This role is responsible for resolving technical issues, maintaining IT SaaS / PaaS / IaaS infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with DoD (Department of Defense) regulations and security protocols. This role will determine technological needs and suggest solutions that meet them. Personnel must possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.

Cloud Administrator / Systems Administrator Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues via phone, email, or in-person.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level technical teams, as necessary.
- Troubleshoot operational and performance issues.
- Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of system resources.
- Configure and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Configure and manage End Point and Mobile Device Management (MDM) controls.
- Review and document performance for improvement.
- Ensure systems and practices comply with DoD regulations, standards, and security protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations.
- Assist in the preparation for and execution of security audits and assessments.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices and proper use of IT resources.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support organizational initiatives.
- Respond to help desk tickets, emails, and phone calls, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Document support activities and solutions in the help desk ticketing system.
- Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and backups.
- Monitor system performance and report any issues to senior administrators.
- Assist in maintaining user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with DoD policies.
- Create and update user guides, FAQs, and other support documentation.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing security measures to protect sensitive information and systems.
- Report any security incidents or breaches to the appropriate authorities.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Must be available to travel up to 4 times a year.
Cloud Administrator / Systems Administrator Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, but relevant experienced considered.Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, A+, or equivalent.Understanding of DoD security policies and procedures.4 years' experience or equivalent in systems administration.4 years' experience working in help desk support.Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with users and team members.Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users clearly and concisely.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other IT professionals.Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.Willingness to stay current with evolving technologies and industry best practices.Ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, and procedures.Collaborate with other departments to support organizational initiatives.Desired Qualifications
Preferred experience in Salesforce, Smartsheet, Google Workspace Administration, Microsoft 365 Administration, and / or Development.Google Workspace Administrator Certification is highly desirable.Prior experience working in a DoD or government IT environment.Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services.Required Clearances and Screenings
