Talascend is currently seeking a Chemical Operator for a contract opportunity with our client in Birmingham, Alabama.

Overview

The role involves operating basic equipment and carrying out routine tasks while following strict, detailed instructions and established processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic equipment and carry out routine tasks.
• Carry out operational tasks by following established processes.
• Help to install equipment and appliances by carrying out preparations and providing assistance.
• Help to maintain and repair equipment and appliances.
• Support the quality function by working within strict quality standards.
• Follow basic mandatory work instructions to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.

Qualifications

• Secondary / Intermediate (2 GCSE)
• Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised.

Requirements

• Uses clear and effective elementary verbal communications skills under supervision.
• Works with guidance to develop, monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures.
• Works with guidance to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
• Applies elementary concepts under supervision to manage and apply safe systems of work.
• Works with guidance to develop appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
• Works under supervision at an elementary level to review and create relevant, lucid and effective reports.
• Works under supervision at an elementary level to motivate all employees to learn, grow and develop.
• Identifies, assesses, prioritizes and manages risks in a production process at an elementary level, under supervision.
• Works under supervision at an elementary level to achieve full compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
