FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Nights

Pay: $35.29 - $54.71 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

The centralized sitter RN role is a new, innovative role, to support system oversight of in person and virtual sitters. We are looking for RNs with strong critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills. The role will involve reviewing sitter orders within EPIC, partnering with frontline staff to verify the right sitter (in person vs virtual) for the patient, collaborating closely with UCHealth's Staffing Office and House Supervisors for fulfilling sitter requests, and re-evaluating type of sitter from a productivity and resource allocation standpoint. This individual will work closely with our Safety View Technicians (virtual sitters) and provide support and guidance as needed.

Having experience as a relief or permanent Charge Nurse is highly recommended as this position will require proactive communication with unit staff, unit Charge RNs, House Supervisors, Staffing Coordinators, and Physicians. This is an on-site position, located in Aurora CO.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.

Minimum Experience: 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.

Credentials:

Essential:

• Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support

BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
