Job Title : Controller Employment Type : Full-Time

About the Role Were seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting operations and provide strategic financial leadership. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the construction industry, expertise in Sage accounting software, and hands-on experience managing the month-end close process.

Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day accounting operations, including A / P, A / R, payroll, job cost, and general ledgerManage and execute month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timelinessPrepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reportsMaintain internal controls, accounting policies, and proceduresOversee compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirementsSupport audits and coordinate with external auditors or tax advisorsPartner with senior leadership to provide financial insights that support business decisionsMentor and guide accounting team members

Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or senior accounting rolePrevious experience in the construction industry required (job costing, WIP schedules, etc.)Proficiency in Sage (Sage 300, Sage Intacct, or similar)Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close best practicesExcellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
