Technical Assistance Center (TAC) Escalation Team Advisor

Job Description

This role is categorized as means the successful candidate is expected to report to Saginaw or Warren MI three times a week at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business.

The Role

Were looking for a highly skilled Escalation Team Advisor to join our Technical Assistance Center (TAC) . In this role youll act as a key technical expert supporting TAC Advisors field teams and leadership in diagnosing and resolving complex vehicle issues. Youll collaborate closely with Engineering Brand Quality and Field Operations and serve as the main escalation point for high-level technical concerns.

What Youll Do

Support TAC Advisors with complex vehicle diagnostics and repair strategies

Serve as a single-point contact for escalated technical issues from field personnel and leadership

Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to identify and address emerging vehicle concerns

Author and publish technical bulletins and service communications

Use data and tools to analyze trends and contribute to root-cause resolutions

Escalate critical or high-impact issues as needed and drive follow-up resolution

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

10 years of automotive technical experience (dealership or TAC preferred)

2 current ASE certifications or a 2-year technical degree

Strong understanding of vehicle systems (powertrain chassis electrical restraints etc.)

Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint)

Excellent customer focused problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and organizational abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in cross-functional teams

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

Proficient in (QIS PRTS Siebel VIS Global Connect Oracle and Salesforce / OneCRM / CXConnect.)

Proficient with GM internal websites and tools including Siebel GMA GWM Salesforce / OneCRM / CXConnect and MS Office products.
