Job Purpose
The Network Engineer I will provide engineering, implementation, and support services for enterprise networking environments. The role focuses on Cisco and related vendor technologies, ensuring smooth network operations through upgrades, relocations, troubleshooting, and migrations. This position requires both technical depth and strong customer-facing skills to support users and stakeholders effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Support or lead onsite network infrastructure upgrade activities.
- Apply software updates, patches, and configurations on Cisco routers and switches.
- Conduct quality assurance testing and provide first-day support during migration events.
- Diagnose and resolve wired and wireless networking issues.
- Participate in network site surveys and produce detailed technical documentation and reports.
Required Skills & Experience
Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.Practical experience with LAN / WAN networking, including routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (onsite travel required).Ability to pass background checks (multiple may be required by the client).Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work safely on ladders up to 8 feet.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Cisco routers (ISR, Catalyst series) and switches (Catalyst 9K).Familiarity with Cisco IOS / IOS-XE configuration.Strong knowledge of protocols including TCP / IP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, DHCP, DNS, STP, VTP, and DTP.Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting L2 / L3 networks (VLANs, trunking, inter-VLAN routing, etc.).Exposure to network monitoring / management tools (ScienceLogic, SolarWinds, Labtech).Experience supporting Cisco IP telephony and wireless systems.Additional hardware experience with Cisco firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, HP or Alcatel switches, and network printers.
