About The Position

Hours per Shift : 7.5 hours (11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM)

Experience : Minimum of 1.5-2 years required

License : High School Diploma or equivalent required

Certifications : Sterile processing certification (CRCST or CSPD) must not expire during the term of assignment

Must-Have :

Ability to lift / carry 25 pounds

Manual dexterity and the ability to stand, bend, lift, and / or reach for extended periods

Effective communication skills in English (both verbally and in writing)

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Description :

Large, busy sterile processing facility providing services to multiple healthcare facilities.

Every other weekend is required.

The role involves disassembling, cleaning, sterilizing, reassembling, and packaging sterile supplies according to specifications or manufacturer instructions while following department protocols.

Operators will be required to use washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic machines, steam and ethylene oxide sterilizers, heat sealers, and additional equipment during sterilization procedures.

Adherence to instrument count sheets for surgical sets and case carts is essential.

The position requires retrieving used trays, instruments, and equipment from various clinical areas for decontamination.

Examine instruments and patient care equipment for cleanliness, proper assembly, and functionality.

Identify malfunctioning items, record relevant information, and promptly inform a supervisor or biomedical engineer.

Assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining department inventory levels.

Perform duties to maintain a contaminant-free work environment.

Scrubs provided must be laundered at the facility.

Shoes, jewelry, hair, and beard must be covered, and no nail polish is permitted.
