Community Outreach Education Specialist / MDEP (the ideal candidate will live and work in the field in Columbus, GA)
Join LifeLink — Join a Life Saving Team! LifeLink Foundation is a nonprofit focused on saving lives through organ and tissue donation. We are a mission-driven organization with locations across the southeastern U.S. This role supports LifeLink's life-saving mission by serving as a Multicultural Donation Education Program (MDEP) representative in the Columbus, GA area.
What You'll Do
- Work within established LifeLink Foundation policies, procedures, and protocols as a Multicultural Donation Education Program (MDEP) representative in the assigned territory.
- Establish relationships with external multicultural partners (universities and colleges, religious / faith-based organizations, civic organizations, social media platforms) to increase donor registrations in multicultural and diverse communities.
- Support community-based activities that increase organ, eye, and tissue donation, literacy, and access to initiatives, communication, and engagement in multicultural and diverse communities.
- Reside in or near the Columbus, GA area to facilitate, host, and participate in daily meetings, initiatives, and events; meetings may occur during the day, evenings, and weekends.
- Coordinate and / or participate in media interviews as directed, in conjunction with Public Affairs staff.
- Maintain tracking and evaluation systems to assess results of MDEP activities and donor registrations.
- Prepare and deliver formal MDEP presentations, verbally and in writing; contribute to monthly and annual MDEP reports.
- Represent LifeLink through presentations, health fairs, events, and engagements with local professional, civic, educational, and religious organizations.
- Collaborate with internal LifeLink departments as needed; participate on national committees through relevant associations (e.g., AMAT, Donate Life America, Donate Life Georgia).
- Identify new opportunities and workplace partnerships to heighten awareness within targeted communities; serve as a resource on minority donation and transplantation issues.

Pleasant, team-oriented environment with customary hours; some deadlines, events, and presentations may require extended hours. Extensive travel within the service area is required. Routine confidentiality must be practiced.
