Compa Industries is searching for experienced candidates for a Project Engineer 4 position at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in Los Alamos, NM.
- Pay : $87 / hr - $93 / hr
- Location : 100% Onsite – Los Alamos, NM (TA-55, install phase) Per Diem Approved!
- Citizenship : US Citizenship Required
- Work Schedule : 4 / 10s preferred; flexible with other shifts (including weekends / nights)
- Clearance : DOE Q Clearance preferred, or ability to obtain

Project Engineers at this level are instrumental in driving the successful execution of complex technical projects that directly support the U.S. nuclear deterrent. You will be embedded in the Plutonium Facility engineering team, ensuring continuity of operations, design excellence, and successful implementation of high-risk systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
Lead and manage full-lifecycle project engineering efforts from scope development to closeoutInterface with internal customers and stakeholders to define project needs and technical strategyGuide multi-disciplinary teams through engineering reviews and deliverable milestonesOversee change control processes and ensure compliance with LANL standardsCollect, manage, and archive all project documentation and test data per DOE requirementsMinimum Qualifications :
Extensive experience leading technical teams on complex, multi-system projectsExpert understanding of DOE / DOD standards, including NQA-1, ASME, NFPA, IBC, etc.Strong background in cost / schedule management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, EVMS)Demonstrated success navigating regulatory environments and high-consequence operationsStrong interpersonal and documentation skillsDesired Skills :
Professional Engineer (PE) licenseDeep familiarity with LANL engineering standards (ESM, Conduct of Engineering)Project leadership in glovebox, electrical, or manufacturing systems highly desiredMentorship experience with early-career engineersPrevious DOE / DOD or high-consequence facility experience (nuclear, pharma, oil / gas, power plants, manufacturing)Education and Experience Requirements :
