Requirements
Required Qualifications :
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written andverbal form.
2. Strong experience with Audio Visual and Low Voltage technologies, willing to meet the 24-hour
demands of a successful Hotel / Casino operation.
3. Minimum of five (5) years' experience with commercial Audio-Visual experience with technologies. Aminimum of two (2) certifications of Audio-Visual programming, repairs.
CTS and Crestroncertifications are a plus.
4. Has a passion for the Audio Visual and Low Voltage field, being able to learn new technologies in arapidly evolving industry.
5. Experience with Low Voltage infrastructure, tools, and related test equipment. Be familiar with
common practices with running or extending Low Voltage infrastructure. FOA and Fusion Slicer
certifications are a plus.
6. Experience in AV systems installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting / maintenance.
7. Familiarity with A / V control systems such as Crestron, Extron, and AMX.
8. Knowledge and direct experience with Audio DSP units. Familiarity with Audio Architect is a plus.
9. Excellent understanding of signal flow in both audio and video installations.
10. Experience using digital multi-meters, toning and / or testing cables.
11. Experience with installing and maintaining projectors, including a strong understanding of throwndistances.
12. Background in commercial electronics, electrical, and a strong understanding of IP / networking skillsarea an advantage.
13. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical specifications, etc.
14. Must be at least 21 years of age.
15. Knowledge and experience in maintaining the following :
Television Displays Live and Installed Sound and Music Systems
IP Based Video Systems Category Cable Repair and Termination
Visual Systems Fiber Repair and Termination
70V Sound Systems Coaxial Repair and Termination
ETC Lighting Systems Electronic systems and Hardware

Physical Requirements :
1. Requires the physical ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
2. Manual dexterity to operate hand and foot controls.
3. May require prolonged standing. Requires bending, stooping, reaching from floor level. Requires
crawling in attic areas, climbing ladders and stairs.
4. May require lifting, transporting, pushing, pulling and maneuvering large loads weighing up to 75pounds with or without assistance.
5. Requires hand / eye coordination and depth perception.
Work Conditions :
Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain second hand smoke.
Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a sitting or nonsittingposition. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pullingand grasping.
These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area. Work may entail trainedchemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
Job Description
Position Summary :
The AV Engineer will be joining a highly successful and functional IT team that supports the needs of Graton Resort Casino.
This position is responsible for the design and the oversight of all Audio Visual (A / V) and Low Voltage equipment and systems installations with the purpose of creating the best possible guest experience.
This role will assist with the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures, as well as the creation and documentation of preventive maintenance procedures for installed Audio Visual and Low Voltage equipment.
Essential Functions :
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Work with third-party resources required to support live events to gather information such a equipment needs and requirements.
Assist with the oversight of A / V equipment installation and operation for live events including microphones, speakers, audio mixers, and lighting.
3. Use industry standards and best practices to help design and scope A / V and Low Voltage systems to meet property and end user's needs.
Assist with the oversight of installation and verification of A / V and Low Voltage equipment such as 70V speaker systems, Digital Signal Processors, video walls, signage displays, video distribution systems, low voltage cabling, and distributed antenna systems.
4. Assists with the creation and documentation of best practices and standard operating procedures forA / V and Low Voltage equipment operation and repairs.
5. Help identify and find solutions to potential problems pertaining to A / V system performance, supportand reliability.
6. Oversee the installation and repairs of low voltage cabling including fiber optic cabling, communicationscabling, twisted pair, and coaxial cabling.
7. Assist with the creation and oversight of preventive maintenance for A / V and Low Voltage systems andequipment. Manage maintenance logs to ensure that equipment has been serviced properly to ensurelong-term performance.
8. Monitor, operate and repair a variety of lighting dimming systems including Electronic Theater Controland Crestron Dimming.
9. Assist with low level programming support including A / V control systems, audio DSP controls, andlighting controls.
10. Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and / or e-mails regarding A / V software / hardwareproblems.
11. Oversee A / V and Low Voltage equipment inventory. Ensure that commonly used items for repairs andinstallation are in stock and available.
12. Document changes made to A / V and Low Voltage systems. Update blueprints to include any changesor updates to these systems.
13. Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding Audio Visual and Low Voltage infrastructures.
14. Require the availability for all shifts and hours to support live entertainment events.
15. Other duties as assigned.
