Job descriptionManage a caseload of 12 families, providing weekly in-home, virtual, and community-based services such as therapy, advocacy, coaching, coordination, and case management Assess child safety and risk, develop safety and intervention plans, make monthly home visits Prepare written court reports, attend family court hearings, and collaborate with FSU and FCLS Transition families into specialized services as needed Document casework activities in PROMIS and CONNECTIONS Attend conferences and collaborate with clients and service providers
Title : Family Support Specialist
Location : Brooklyn, NY 11207
Schedule : Monday to Friday, with two late days until 8 PM
Salary : $62,500K ($30 / HR)
Overview : Provide assessments, intervention planning, and supportive services to strengthen families, improve child safety and well-being, and reduce future involvement with child welfare.
Requirments :
- Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field
- Fluent in Spanish (required)
- Previous experience with children, teens, parents, or families
- Willingness to conduct home visits and community field work
- Ability to work until 8 PM on two evenings per week
