American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment requiring multimodality skills in CT and X-Ray and at least two years of recent U.S. hospital experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work at a freestanding emergency department with coverage at the main facility for call shiftsPrimary shift is Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.Choice of 2 call shifts per week for CT or X-Ray at the main facilityCT on-call is weekends only from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; X-Ray on-call is Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and 24 hours on weekendsCandidates must be capable of performing both CT and X-Ray procedures, including stroke protocols and perfusion scansEquipment includes Philips, Toshiba, and Canon CT scannersPosition involves operating CT and radiographic equipment, correctly adjusting technical factors, and positioning patients for optimal imagingResponsibilities include assisting physicians during procedures, preparing rooms and supplies, and managing contrast reactions and emergency codesMust be able to schedule, complete exams, and correctly enter charge codesTwo recent manager or supervisor references from the last 12 months are preferred for consideration, with at least one from the most recent employerCandidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not acceptedCOVID and Flu vaccination documentation requiredFacility mandates CPI certification for all technologists\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in a U.S. hospital setting for the specialty requiredCT Technologist and registered radiology technologist experience requiredARRT certification requiredActive, non-pending state license with Fluoro required, license required if applicableAssociate’s Degree or completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program requiredAHA certifications requiredCompetency in multimodality imaging (CT and X-Ray) requiredCPI certification requiredMust be knowledgeable in stroke protocols and perfusion scans or willing to be trainedMust have a valid U.S. Social Security Number\n Benefits\n
