Job Description

Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University seeks qualified candidates for Director of its HLA / Immunogenetics Laboratory.

• Supports transplant programs : Lung (#1 in US in recent years), Heart, Liver, Kidney, Pancreas at TUH; Bone Marrow at Jeanes Hospital.
• Additional services : HLA disease and hypersensitivity associations; platelet transfusion support at TUH, Jeanes, and Fox Chase Cancer Center.
• Team structure : 9 technologists + 1 manager; close-knit group with 24 / 7 stat on-call coverage.
• Clinical collaboration : Monitor HLA antibody status pre- and post-transplant; estimate risk of antibody-mediated rejection for organ offers in sensitized / transplanted patients.
