- Actively greet customers, listen to their needs, and guide them toward the best appliance solutions for their home.
- Confidently explain product features, performance differences, warranties, and installation considerations.
- Recommend complementary itemsventing, hoses, cleaners, accessoriesto support a complete purchase.
- Stay up to date on new appliance models, energy-efficiency options, promotions, and industry trends.
- Provide world-class customer service from greeting to checkout.
- Promote loyalty programs, in-store events, and monthly appliance promotions.
- Encourage customers to share feedback through Google reviews or other approved channels.
- Use Theatro to stay connected and deliver fast, accurate support on the sales floor.
- Process appliance sales, returns, special orders, and financing with accuracy using the POS system.
- Coordinate pickup and delivery details to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Fulfill online orders promptly and accurately for in-store or curbside pickup.
- Cross-train in additional departmentspaint, hardware, seasonal, plumbing, electricalto support store coverage and expand product knowledge.
- Assist customers with hands-on services such as key cutting, glass cutting, screen repair, propane filling, and cutting rope, chain, or wire.
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized appliance displays and department aisles.
- Assemble appliances or related displays for the sales floor as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to leadership.
- Safely operate forklifts and other power equipment after completing required training.
- Report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately to the Leader on Duty.
- Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and Aubuchon Core Values.
Work Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Prior retail, appliance sales, or hardware experience is highly desirable.Must be at least 18 years old.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first approach, especially when explaining appliance features, installation needs, and product comparisons.Solid organizational and problem-solving skills to support customers with product selection, troubleshooting, and special orders.Basic math skills for transactions, measurements, delivery planning, and inventory counts.Ability to learn and operate store tools and equipment, including key-cutting machines, propane filling equipment, and powered material-handling equipment.Willingness to complete forklift and propane certifications within 90 days of hire.Positive, professional, and approachable demeanor, with the confidence to engage customers in a fast-paced sales environment.Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and adjust to business needsespecially during promotional periods or seasonal traffic.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; frequent lifting / carrying of up to 25 lbs.Comfortable standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and reaching throughout the shift, including assisting with appliance movement as needed.Must be comfortable working in an animal-friendly environment (accommodations available upon request).Benefits
