As a Covered California Solutions Architect (ITS Architect IV), you will help shape the future of healthcare. Youll be an integral part of our IT Application Development team, striving for excellence while serving member health with dignity. The role involves defining and implementing innovative solutions to ensure successful implementation of the Covered California program. Youll own the implementation, ensuring the solution meets requirements and fits seamlessly into the CalOptima Health environment. Youll lead initiatives, deliver high?quality, scalable and efficient solutions, collaborate across departments, promote best practices, continuously improve the flow of value, and manage risks to ensure successful delivery.
Your Contributions To the Team
Do You Have What the Role Requires?
Bachelors degree in information technology or related field PLUS 10 years of experience working in a health plan information technology setting, with 5 years of experience in a large health plan required; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above may also be qualifying. 10 years of experience in software development and architecture required. 7 years of experience leading complex, cross?functional solutions and initiatives required. 7 years of experience in release planning and sequencing required. Proven track record of leading successful software projects required. Experience leading the process of developing information technology procedures and documenting required. Full?cycle Development Experience Required.
Your Knowledge & Abilities to Bring to this Role
Develop rapport and establish and maintain effective working relationships with CalOptima Healths leadership and staff and external contacts at all levels and with diverse backgrounds. Work independently and exercise sound judgment. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Work a flexible schedule; available to participate in evening and weekend events. Organize, be analytical, problem?solve and possess project management skills. Work in a fast?paced environment and in an efficient manner. Manage multiple projects and identify opportunities for internal and external collaboration. Motivate and lead multi?program teams and external committees / coalitions. Utilize computer and appropriate software (e.g., Microsoft Office : Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and job specific applications / systems to produce correspondence, charts, spreadsheets, and / or other information applicable to the position assignment.
