Job description

Insurance Account Manager

Essential Functions :

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding coverage questions, policy reviews, and service needs.
  • Lead and manage the entire renewal process, from strategy development to final binding.
  • Recommend appropriate insurance products and services to meet client needs.
  • Analyze and compare carrier quotes and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  • Prepare and present clear, professional renewal proposals and coverage comparisons.
  • Review and approve work by associate team members, providing oversight on certificates, endorsements, audits, invoicing, and policy checking.
  • Maintain strong relationships with carriers and underwriters to support placement strategies.
  • Assist clients with claims activity and questions in coordination with claims teams.
  • Collaborate with professional liability account executives to ensure holistic service delivery.
  • Support business development efforts through preparation of sales materials and client presentations.
  • Provide backup support to team members during absences and assist with other duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Experience : 710 years of P&C insurance experience preferred, especially in excess & surplus lines.
  • Skills : strong negotiation and analytical abilities, ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, excellent communication and client-facing skills, high emotional intelligence and self-awareness, proven team leadership and mentoring capabilities, strong Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel.
  • Education & Licensing : Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience, active Property & Casualty license required, professional designations (e.g., CIC, CPCU) preferred.
  • For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

    $75,000 - $85,000 / year

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
