Job description

Spherion is currently partnering with a long-standing industrial manufacturing leader in the Lexington, SC area to identify a strategic Customer Service Manager. We are specifically seeking a seasoned professional with at least 5+ years of customer service experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or logistics setting. In this pivotal role, your specialized background in handling complex industrial orders and production timelines will be essential as you bridge the gap between operations, sales, and the client. If you are an experienced industry veteran ready to mentor a team, optimize ERP processes, and impact the bottom line, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the client support team to exceed performance metrics and service standards.
  • Develop and refine service protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and high satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for complex client issues, resolving them with a focus on retention and relationship building.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Production teams to ensure accurate order entry, seamless logistics, and timely delivery.
  • Manage vital documentation, including shipping instructions, compliance forms, and product specifications.
  • Analyze service data and KPIs to identify trends and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Oversee the management of orders within the company's ERP system.
  • Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience : 5+ years of customer service experience, specifically within a manufacturing, industrial, or logistics environment.
  • Leadership : Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is required. Experience with ERP order management systems is highly desirable.
  • Soft Skills : Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and organizational capabilities.
  • Working Environment : Ability to work primarily in an office setting while occasionally visiting the production floor (requires standing / walking).
  • Education : High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
