We are seeking a dedicated Restorative Aide to coordinate, implement, and provide restorative nursing care under the direction of the Nursing Department and in collaboration with Rehabilitation . The Restorative Aide will work to maximize and maintain the physical function and emotional wellness of residents .

Restorative Aide Requirements :
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification as required by the state
Ability to work every other weekend
Compliant with the state’s Health Care Worker Background Check requirements
Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday
Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress in a healthcare setting
Strong personal integrity, flexibility, and ability to work well with residents, personnel, and support agencies
Ability to work with residents who may be ill, disabled, elderly, or emotionally distressed
Physical ability to push, pull, move, and lift at least 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry it at least 50 feet
As a Restorative Aide, you will :
Oversee, direct, and participate in restorative programs tailored to residents' needs
Communicate regularly with the Director of Nursing and Rehabilitation Nurse regarding goal-setting and resident care approaches
Facilitate resident transitions from skilled rehab services to restorative and preventative programs
Attend rehab rounds and provide status updates on residents' progress
Maintain restorative nursing progress and documentation records
Visit residents daily and ensure appropriate, productive restorative programs
Train primary caregivers in restorative techniques and provide direct care assistance
Monitor residents with Range of Motion (ROM) and T&P (Turning & Positioning) orders to ensure compliance
Assist caregivers with splints, braces, prosthetic appliances, and self-help devices
Direct and participate in all programs under the restorative care umbrella
Assess new admissions to identify restorative needs and communicate them to the care team
Communicate residents' progress to families in care planning meetings or one-on-one discussions
Maintain proficiency in using wheelchairs, walkers, canes, lifts, scales, and other restorative equipment and instruct staff on proper usage
