The City of Nogales is hiring for a role within the Police Department Public Safety Communications Center. The position offers a salary of $34,003.00 annually and is located in Nogales, AZ. This is a full-time position with a continuous closing date.
Summary : Under general supervision, this role performs highly responsible, specialized work in the daily operation of the Nogales Police Department Public Safety Communications Center. The employee works under the supervision and direction of the Communications Supervisor or designee and may exercise supervision over Public Safety Dispatchers in the absence of the Communications Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Receives and dispatches 911 and routine calls for service; logs call assignments
- Prioritizes calls for service and dispatches the appropriate number of agency officials for response
- Monitors status of units in the field for availability and officer safety
- Operates police / fire / medical radio and equipment
- Provide emergency first aid or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) instructions, if required
- Logs and documents general information; performs data entry into automated systems
- Enters, modifies, confirms, and clears records including warrants, restraining orders, stalking orders, stolen property, and runaway juveniles updates
- Conducts local, state and national system searches
- Regularly queries other computer databases and systems to perform warrant checks, vehicle registration updates, and driver license information
- Relays various information within the Department and other law enforcement agencies
- Develops and maintains statistical data
- Files various documents
- Performs general office duties as assigned
- Supports the relationship between the City of Nogales and the general public
- Maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and City information
- Performs other duties as required or assigned

Arizona Criminal Justice Information System Terminal A CertificationPublic Safety Operator Training Program CertificationSpecial Requirements :
