Universal Banker Position

Starting salary for Universal Banker position is $18.50 an hour and up, depending on experience. Under direct supervision of an Assistant Manager or Community President, the position is responsible for assisting customers in a dual role (Platform / 60% Teller) focused on delivering outstanding service with every customer interaction. The Universal Banker will perform teller transactions, service existing customers, and offer product and service solutions to existing customers or prospects when appropriate and beneficial. The Universal Banker is responsible for completing all training, passing Banker Certification within 6 months of hire / promotion date prior to progressing to Universal Banker I, and demonstrating their ability to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Duties and responsibilities include : efficiently processing customer transactions with a high level of integrity, accuracy and knowledge; identifying, expanding and deepening customer relationships by profiling customers in an effort to recommend appropriate products and services that meet customer needs; making referrals to other appropriate lines of business; accurately opening, maintaining and closing deposit accounts and services; answering customer questions and resolving related account issues; performing service related activities such as on-boarding calls; engaging in reactive sales and cross-sell activities; maintaining knowledge of WSBs core processing system, WSB products and services, WSB policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements governing retail deposit accounts; keeping abreast of industry trends, standards and external factors that may affect the bank; operating in full compliance with internal policies / procedures, as well as applicable regulations / laws; and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include : 1 - 2 years of sales experience; 2-4 years customer service experience; 2-4 years of sales and customer service experience in branch banking; Banker Certification within 6 months of hire / promotion date; High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and Associates Degree business or related field preferred.
