Job Description
The Omni Royal Orleans Hotel is looking for a Guest Room Attendant to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in each guest room. This position involves refreshing rooms for guests continuing their stay and thoroughly cleaning rooms of guests who have checked out in preparation for the next guest checking in.
Responsibilities include :
- Following Omni's Moments of Service or Forbes Service standards as applicable
- Thoroughly cleaning guest rooms including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting
- Restocking and replacing used items within guest rooms
- Communicating the clean status of each room upon completion
- Removing room service trays and tables from guest rooms
- Stocking supply cart and ensuring it is neat and well organized at all times
- Checking all equipment prior to and after use to ensure that it is in good working order
- Responding to all hotel guests efficiently and in an appropriately friendly manner
- Reporting damages and / or maintenance problems to the Supervisor, the PBX operator, or the Housekeeping Coordinator
Qualifications include :
Basic English skills are required (must be able to answer basic questions about services and amenities, give directions to guests)Previous cleaning experience requiredPrevious experience in hotel housekeeping preferredAbility to stand, bend, and do repetitive movements for long periods of timeAbility to lift up to 20-25 pounds intermittently, and occasionally 50 poundsAbility to push and pull housekeeping supply cartAbility and willingness to work a varied schedule which includes working on weekends and holidaysOmni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity employer - vets / disability.
