Overview

Supervisory Communication Specialist role at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Base pay range

$142,488.00 / yr - $185,234.00 / yr

Duties

  • Provide communication advice, guidance, and assistance to HRM leadership and subordinate staff in planning, managing, coordinating, and executing CBP-wide engagement strategies involving senior leadership.
  • Develop new processes for various communication methods and ensure enterprise engagements align with the team\'s strategic communication plans.
  • Develop and implement a strategic communication plan, advising on key messages, goals, outcomes, and visual design application.
  • Plan, direct, control, and evaluate engagement, outreach, and digital communication tasks; identify communication needs and develop informational material for agency leadership, employees, and stakeholders.

Required / Qualification summary

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
  • Selective Service registration as required for certain applicants.
  • Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years.
  • Background investigation required.

    • Qualifications

  • Experience : GS-14 level requires 1 year of specialized experience at the next lower grade, including : planning and conducting studies, advising managers on HRM functions, developing and evaluating policies, providing technical support to leadership on planning systems and management programs, setting goals and measures, coordinating resource management reviews, and conceiving engagement strategies with stakeholders.
  • Your resume must explicitly demonstrate how you meet these requirements.
  • Experience may include paid and unpaid work, volunteer service, or National Service programs.
  • Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable, and Time in Grade by 10 / 03 / 2025.
