Job descriptionProvide direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff as needed Administer prescribed medications and monitor their effects Maintain and review student health and immunization records in compliance with NYC DOE and Department of Health regulations Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support students' health needs Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, temperature, etc.) and monitor for communicable illnesses Support students with feeding or other medical accommodations as outlined in their care plans Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics, including hygiene and disease prevention Manage care and follow-up for students exhibiting communicable illness symptoms, following all DOE health protocols Document all nursing services and maintain accurate, confidential health records Perform other related duties as assigned by the school administration or nursing supervisor 1+ year of Nurisng experience Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Previous experience in a School and / or related setting Experience working with the Pediatric population
